Ask Cindy a question
Where can I find Cindy in San Diego?

You'll find Cindy inside The De La, A New Culture salon in North Park, San Diego, at 2411 El Cajon Blvd #101 (Level 1), San Diego, CA 92104. Your appointment is one-on-one with Cindy, and all services are by appointment only.

Is there parking at the salon?

The salon doesn't have its own parking, so you'll need to find street parking nearby. Please give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot so your appointment can start on time.

What types of hair extensions does Cindy offer?

Cindy offers K-tip (keratin bond) extensions, tape-ins, tape wefts and Genius wefts in standard or volume. She uses premium, ethically sourced Remy hair, custom color-matched to your natural shade. Pricing is shared at your consultation. See extension methods

Which hair extension method is right for me?

The best way to find out is to book an in-person consultation with Cindy, so she can see your hair and talk through your goals and lifestyle. As a general guide, K-tips suit most hair types and are especially good for fine or thinning hair, with full 360-degree movement for ponytails and updos. Tape-ins suit fine to medium hair and are one of the quickest installs. Volume wefts suit medium to thick hair and give the most volume and length.

How often do hair extensions need maintenance?

Wefts are moved up every 6–8 weeks, usually 1–2 times, with a full reinstall at around 12 weeks. Tape-ins are removed, re-taped and reinstalled every 6–8 weeks. K-tips stay in for 3–5 months, then are removed and either re-tipped (if the hair is still in good condition, it will be slightly shorter) or replaced with new hair.

How long does a hair extension install take?

As a guide, tape-ins take about 1–2 hours, weft installs about 2–4 hours, and K-tips about 3–5 hours, sometimes longer for a very full look. Cindy will give you a personal estimate at your consultation.

What is mesh and meshless hair integration?

Both are non-surgical solutions for thinning hair and hair loss. Mesh integration uses a breathable, custom-fit mesh: your own hair is gently pulled through and blended with premium hair for fullness without bulk. Meshless integration uses a lightweight grid method with no mesh base for a soft, seamless blend. Cindy also offers hair toppers and lace closures from premium brands. Ask at your consultation whether your integration may qualify for insurance. Learn about restoration

Yes. Cindy is the lead makeup and hair artist for The Jim Rome Show, an approved Paramount/CBS vendor since 2013, and has worked backstage at the Daytime Emmy Awards three times. She covers TV and live broadcasts, commercials, editorial shoots and men's grooming, quoted per production.
